We present in this section most of the places to discover, especially those who charmed us, from cities and villages, archaeological sites and sanctuaries, or the coast and its most beautiful beaches.\r\nBeyond the map below with most places, find below the articles by area, theme or province.\r\nHere is an overview of the wonders of the region located in the province of Rome, before exploring the <strong>neighboring provinces<\/strong>.\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>Near <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bestofrome.fr\/en\/ostia-antica-fiumicino\/\"><strong>Ostia<\/strong><\/a> and the coast 25 km from Rome, a vast area is occupied by the archaeological park with the remains of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bestofrome.fr\/en\/ostia-antica-fiumicino\/#Archaeological-site-of-Ostia-Antica\"><strong>Ostia Antica<\/strong><\/a>, the port city of ancient Rome. It is undoubtedly the most impressive Roman site in Lazio outside Rome, with the Villa d'Hadrien in Tivoli.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>In <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bestofrome.fr\/en\/tivoli-hadrian-villa-d-este\/\"><strong>Tivoli<\/strong><\/a>, a small town less than 30 km from Rome, there are remarkable sites. On the one hand antiquity found a major architectural expression in the remarkable <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bestofrome.fr\/en\/tivoli-hadrian-villa-d-este\/#Hadrians_Villa\"><strong>Hadrian's Villa<\/strong><\/a> built by the emperor in the 2nd century AD.
