Knowing that to appreciate it it is useless to run in the eternal city, he is even advised to take his time, to stroll there from time to time.<\/p>\n<h2>First day<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Ancient Rome and the historic center<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bestofrome.fr\/en\/site\/tourist-attractions\/colosseum\/\">Colosseum<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bestofrome.fr\/en\/site\/the-roman-forum\/\">Roman Forum<\/a> (about half a day for the visit)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bestofrome.fr\/en\/tag\/capitolium\">Capitoline Hill<\/a>, possibly its important <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bestofrome.fr\/en\/site\/capitoline-museums\/\">Capitoline Museums<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bestofrome.fr\/en\/site\/piazza-navona\/\">Piazza Navona<\/a>, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bestofrome.fr\/en\/site\/the-pantheon\/\">Pantheon<\/a> and its district until to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bestofrome.fr\/en\/site\/trevi-fountain\/\">Trevi Fountain<\/a><\/li>\n<li>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bestofrome.fr\/en\/site\/piazza-di-spagna-spanish-steps\/\">Spanish Steps<\/a> and possibly Piazza del Popolo<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>If you have time, visit the district between Piazza Navona and Ponte Sisto, doing a round to Campo dei Fiori, near Piazza Farnese, possibly for a drink.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>In the evening, and if you have time, try <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bestofrome.fr\/en\/site\/trastevere-neighborhood\/\">Trastevere district<\/a>, always nice although increasingly touristy. It is nice to spend the evening there.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Second day<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Baroque and renaissance<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bestofrome.fr\/en\/site\/st-peters-square\/\">St Peter\u2019s Square<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bestofrome.fr\/en\/site\/saint-peters-basilica\/\">Basilica<\/a>, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bestofrome.fr\/en\/site\/vatican-museums\/\">Vatican Museums<\/a> including the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bestofrome.fr\/en\/site\/vatican-museums\/sistine-chapel\/\">Sistine Chapel<\/a> (a good half day to visit)<\/li>\n<li>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bestofrome.fr\/en\/site\/castel-sant-angelo\/\">Castel Sant&#8217;Angelo<\/a>, then the historic heart, joining the pretty streets \u2013 including Santa Maria della Pace \u2013 Piazza Navona, Campo dei Fiori, Piazza Farnese, then Largo Argentina and then the ghetto district, to the Theatre of Marcellus.<\/li>\n<li>Continue to the square Bocca della verit\u00e0, with the Boarium Forum, the beautiful church and the Mouth of Truth.
