The panoramas<\/strong> of Rome offer unique perspectives on the city from its hills and terraces. This article presents the main viewpoints, such as Piazza Garibaldi<\/strong> on the Janiculum<\/strong>, the terrace of the Pincio<\/strong> above the Piazza del Popolo, the belvedere of the Orange Garden<\/strong> on the Aventine, and the view of the Roman Forum from the Capitoline, but also less known places with the Monte Mario<\/strong>, the highest point of Rome.<\/p>\n

On the other side of the Tiber, the Janiculan hill<\/strong> overlooks the Trastevere district<\/a>. This is the most famous viewpoint of the city around Garibaldi Square<\/strong> (Piazzale Garibaldi<\/em>), where every midday is fired the traditional white cannon shot. On one side the view embraces a large part of Rome, and on the other emerges the great dome of St Peter\u2019s Basilica.

Pincio: panoramic terrace<\/h2>\n

The Pincian hill<\/strong><\/a> overlooks Piazza del Popolo, north of the Campo Marzio and the historic center. From the terrace of Piazza Napoleon I you have a beautiful view of the city and the Vatican, with the nice square in the foreground.<\/p>\n\n\t\t
