For visits on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays, booking is mandatory at least the day before for certain museums and archaeological sites.
In addition, booking is mandatory for certain museums or sites, even on weekdays, such as the Colosseum, Roman Forum and Palatine, Borghese Gallery, Mausoleum of Augustus, and the archaeological excavations of Palazzo Valentini/Domus Romane

- Entry to museums, monuments, galleries, and archaeological sites managed by the Italian State is free for all citizens under 18 years old. For European Union citizens aged 18 to 25, the ticket costs €2. (similar concessions apply for citizens of countries with „reciprocity“).
- Entry to museums, monuments, galleries, and archaeological sites of the Rome Museum System is free for all European Union citizens under 6 years old.
- Access to public transportation within the territory of the Municipality of Rome is free for children under 10 years old, provided they are accompanied by an adult who has paid for their access.
