Palazzo del Freddo Giovanni Fassi, meaning Palace of Cold in English, is a historic gelateria located on Via Principe Eugenio in Rome. Founded in 1880 in the Esquilino district, it is considered one of the oldest in Italy, near Termini Station and Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II.
It offers quality artisanal gelato, including classic flavors such as pistachio, hazelnut, and zabaione, as well as the “Sanpietrino”, a semi-frozen treat coated in chocolate. Coffee and pastries are also available.
The large retro-style hall is also of interest.
Prices are reasonable.
