Restaurants in Rome

There are three types of restaurants in Rome, beyond bakeries and takeaway restaurants:

  • Pizzerias: as the name suggests, pizza is their speciality
  • Restaurants: sometimes original cuisine, local or not, with or without pizzas, and more important service than in trattorias
