There are a number of hotels and establishments around Termini Station, which is quite close to the historic center, 15/20 minutes walk from Piazza Venezia. Most of them are north and south of the station. It’s cheaper than the full centre, which is southwest.
One can find a correct room from about 65€, at least 90€ for comfortable rooms.
