Roma Pass City Card

Roma PassThe Roma Pass is available in two versions: Roma Pass 72h and Roma Pass 48h (Not available as of 03/20/2025), priced at approximately €58.50 for the former and €36.50 for the latter, respectively.
Sponsored by the Municipality of Rome, the Roma Pass is the most affordable tourist pass, offering unlimited access to the city’s public transport network (Atac network) and free entry to 2 sites/museums (for the Roma Pass 72h) or 1 site/museum (for the Roma Pass 48h), as well as discounted rates at other affiliated sites.

Roma Pass 72h

The Roma Pass 72h, approximately €58.50, offers in summary:

  • Free entry to two sites/museums in Rome among the most prestigious affiliated ones (Capitoline Museums, Colosseum, Borghese Gallery, Mausoleum of Augustus, National Etruscan Museum, National Roman Museum, etc. Check the full list on the official website: www.romapass.it/it/musei).

For some sites, reservations are always mandatory, such as the Colosseum, Borghese Gallery, Rome Capital museums, Maxxi, National Roman Museum, Baths of Caracalla, and Palazzo Valentini with the Domus Romane (see the note below).
  • Other visited sites are accessible at a discounted rate.
  • Unlimited access to the city’s public transport network (Atac network): buses, metro, local trains on the Roma-Pantano, Roma-Lido, and Roma-Viterbo lines.
    Warning: Excludes special Atac connections, Trenitalia FR regional railways, the Cotral Roma Tiburtina-Termini/Fiumicino airport connection, the Trenitalia Leonardo Express between Roma Termini and Fiumicino airport, and all other connections to Fiumicino and Ciampino airports.
  • Access to numerous ongoing exhibitions and events at discounted rates.
  • Immersive AR virtual reality headset experience at the Circus Maximus: Circo Maximo Experience
  • Free access to the P.Stop toilet network

Its validity is 72 hours (from the day of its first use, museum or transport).

Important information about additional reservations

For Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays, reservations are mandatory the day before for certain museums and archaeological sites. Reservations are also required for many museums even on weekdays. It is recommended to check the access/reservation/hours for each museum.

The Colosseum, Roman Forum and Palatine, Borghese Gallery, Mausoleum of Augustus, and the archaeological excavations of Palazzo Valentini/Domus Romane require mandatory reservations, even for Roma Pass holders, including on weekdays.

It is recommended to book at least 10 days in advance.

You can make reservations even if you do not yet have your Roma Pass, always providing the pass holder’s name.

For the Roma Pass 48h, approximately €36.50, the services offered are the same as for the Roma Pass 72h, except it includes only one site/museum and has a reduced duration of 48 hours.
